About two weeks after we moved onto the farm our beloved kitty was hit by a car and killed. I was completely devastated at the loss and didn’t think I would ever want another cat since we lived so close the road. Numerous mouse and critter sightings in our garage/barn forced the issue. A friend offered us a rescued cat that wouldn’t get along with her other cats and needed a new home. I thought, “surely I won’t let myself get attached”, we even gave him the indistinct name “Orange Cat”. Needless to say Orange Cat won our hearts and has become farmdog’s best friend. He is content to stay in the garage and keep it free from bothersome pests. Orange Cat endures the endless dog slobber and goat bleating and lives up to the great title of “Guardian of the Garage”.
He’s a good kitty! Lazy kind of cat. He stays in the garage and seems happy.
